Your grail, across every account
Chronicle tells you that you found it. Packmaster tells you which mule has it, how well it rolled, and counts the copies you owned before February.

What it tracks
Every unique and set item in the game, marked found the moment one lands in your stash. You scan the item like anything else. If it is a unique or a set piece, the grail updates on its own. Nothing to tick off.
Three grails, one list
Find each item once, in any form.
Find each item ethereal, wherever ethereal can spawn. Rings, charms, amulets and set pieces cannot roll ethereal, so a normal find counts for those.
Ethereal where it can be, and a flawless roll on the same copy. Nobody has finished this one. That is the point of it.
- It knows where the item is. Every found mark links to the stash entry behind it. Open it and you see which character is holding the item, what it rolled, and how that roll scores against the full range.
- It tracks the roll, not just the name. A 47% Shako and a 94% Shako are different items to Packmaster. The best copy you own is the one the grail points at.
- Log what you found before Packmaster. Anything in your stash from before you started scanning can be logged by hand, with the date, whether it was ethereal, and whether it rolled perfect.
- Reset per item, or wipe the lot. Traded for a piece and want a found-only grail? Reset that one item and it stops counting until you find it again. Starting a fresh grail for a new season? Wipe it. Your stash is untouched either way.
- Progress by slot and by set. Helms, armor, weapons by type, each set as its own group, with a bar for each and a search across all of it. Filter to missing only when you are deciding what to farm.
- It follows you. Grail progress is saved to your account, so the phone by the couch and the desktop at work show the same list.
What it does not cover. Packmaster's grail is uniques and set items. Runewords are not part of it. Chronicle tracks those well, and there is no reason to duplicate it.
Chronicle and Packmaster
Chronicle is a good feature. It shipped with Reign of the Warlock, it works on every platform, and it records the first time you find each unique, set item and runeword. If you play one account and started grailing in February, it may be all you need.
Here is what it leaves out, and what Packmaster does about each one.
| Chronicle | Packmaster |
|---|---|
| Nothing you owned before Reign of the Warlock counts. No workaround. | Log it. Your pre-3.0 collection counts, dated to when you found it. |
| One Battle.net account. Separate mule accounts mean separate, partial Chronicles. | One Packmaster account holds every Battle.net account you log. One grail. |
| Records the drop. Does not know which character holds the item now, or if you still have it. | Every found mark opens the stash entry, on the character that has it. |
| Only the finder gets credit. Traded items never count. | Anything you log counts. Reset it if you want a found-only grail. |
| Shows stat ranges. A bad roll and a perfect roll are the same checkmark. | Scores every roll. Hell grail wants the perfect one. |
| No ethereal tracking. | Nightmare grail is the ethereal grail. |
| In the game only. No web view, no export, no backup. | It is a web page. Check it from anywhere, on anything. |
| Softcore and hardcore are separate. | One grail. Softcore and hardcore count together. |
Packmaster does not read or import your Chronicle. There is no export and no API, on any platform. Any tool that claims to sync it is guessing.
If you run more than one Battle.net account
This is the gap nothing else fills.
Plenty of players keep a second or third Battle.net account for mule space. Chronicle cannot see across them, and it never will. Merging progress across accounts would defeat the boundary it is built on. So a three-account player has three partial grails and no way to add them up.
Packmaster does not care which account an item came from. You log the character, you log the item, the grail counts it. Your mule account on PC and your main on PS5 are the same collection.
The same is true for items you traded for, and items you found two seasons ago before Chronicle existed. If you own it, it counts.
A note for console players
Be clear about one thing: Chronicle works on console. If you want a fresh-finds grail on one account, you already have it, in the game, for free.
What console players cannot use is any of the third-party grail tools. Every one of them reads a PC save file, and console does not have one.
So if you want a grail that spans accounts, includes what you owned before February, tracks the roll and where the item sits, and can be read outside the game, there is one way to get that data in from a console: scan the tooltip with your phone. Packmaster is the only tracker that does it.
Start with what you already have
Scan a few items from your stash and watch the grail fill in. Anything you found before today, log by hand with the date. Free account, no card, and nothing in the grail is behind Pro.
Claim your StashChronicle tracks one account's fresh finds since February. Packmaster tracks everything you own, across every account, however you got it, with the roll and the location.
